I'm just restating what he wrote (the owner of the vehicle)... personally the kid who owns the car irritated me with how he was gloating about beating the guy's ass on camera (and overdid it, IMO), but spray painting someone's vehicle is heinous. Such a toss-up.

The actions after the fact are what have me irritated as well.

The tactful thing to do would be to video the old man painting the car, call the police, and tell the police that he fell several times while trying to get to his van to leave the crime scene. All without the interwebz involvement.

He basically threw the officers under the bus with a bag of disrespect to chew on when he made it public. You just don't put officers in an awkward position when in situations like this.

Kid sees guy spray painting cars, confronts suspect. Kid assaults suspect (did not see any evidence of suspect assaulting kid, since guy's face is bloodied and kid's hand is bloodied), guy trys to leave due to kid's use of excessive force and kid slams door on suspect's leg causing a fracture.

Dumb kid then videotapes and posts it on interweb.

Sounds like that kid better get a lawyer.

I can't say that I wouldn't be pissed off, but come on, unless the old dude brought sandpaper the paint wont stick. A rag and some WD40 and it should come right off. I would probably be cleaning it off, rather than allowing it to dry further while beating the shit out of the guy.

If you weren't a police officer, and you saw someone doing that to your car, do you think you could hold back from kicking his ass? Im not trying to undermind you, just wondering how someone could show such control when you witness something like this happening to your vehicle and not harming the guy?
