  • ZR paint in a rattle can.....

    So my pass side scoop flew off on the tollway coming to work one day;

    This is what the old ones looked like (which i never really cared for to begin with);

    So I bought new ones;

    I am too poor to have someone who knows how to paint do this for me, so I looked to the internetz for a cheaper way and found a site that can make the factory color, all I needed to do was give them the paint code and they sent me ZR paint and clear in rattle can form;

    and it didnt turn out too bad, its a little lighter than the rest of the car but i expected that being the paint on the car is over 10 years old;

      That's actually pretty cool, doesn't look half bad. What site did you get the paint from?

        one the driver side very carefully and slowly (I used a long screw driver looking push pin removal tool and a rag so i didnt scratch the paint on the car, the ones on my car were only held on by push pins), the pass side blew off on the tollway so I spent almost no time at all on that one.

        Purchased scoopes from;
        Specializing in parts for late model Ford Mustang, Bronco, F150, Ranger, Maverick, & Super Duty.

                ha, no...i had just gotten on (maybe 60mph) and i hear a thump so i look in the rear view to see the damn thing nearly go thru the windshield of the car behind me. It would have done some damage too, cause the one I took off felt like it weighed a good coulpe of pounds. The new ones are much lighter!

                besides, no one would believe a 2v could accomplish such a feat as to rip body parts off due to speed. I wil try that story and let you know how many people laugh.
