And I think Sam is a cocky prick but Ive known him over 10yrs and can say it to his face and take the kick in the nuts Id get.. Unlike dorky ass cock smoochers like yourself that wouldn't say anything to anyone in public. Bitch.

Keep in mind that your injectors are rated at a given pressure too, right around 40 psi in most cases. So they will flow more at higher pressures.

Edit, nevermind, I saw that you were talking about this above.

If you aren't blowing some shit up then you aren't learning anything. I'd run E85 in a hearbeat if I was racing today.

I was the scrawny guy in the corner with glass and HP-T cable and video camera. Thinking bout tuning my own cars and offering advise. I ve seen it done a time or two. Pretty sure I can run 18* with 21 psi.

i am trying to figure out how i can make it work without to much of a hassle. if i go this route i'll ditch my fuel cell and put a stock sumped tank back in it so i can have some range. i just really don't want to replace this whole damn fuel system. if the eliminator pump and 92lb injectors will support it i'll make the swap, otherwise i am still in the air about it.

Only one way to find out. I would think that the worst case is you probably have to go with some bigger injectors and maybe a bigger return. That eliminator pump and your lines should be up to the task.

How much power are you trying to make. The pump should be ok but the injectors are going to get pretty close to max power around 700-750rwhp. My 80lb injectors were done around 650rwhp on E85 I now have 160lb injectors. My pump might be the next thing I need to upgrade or add a second pump.

                • 92lb injectors wont be enough. Jay has 120's at 50psi, and they are 95% dc at 820rw. You will need a boostapump also. Id get some 220's, so you only have to buy inj oncr

well, i have no idea how much power i've got now so it'd be even harder to predict how much i "want". if i was making ~700 before then 750 would be fine.

i have seen folks continue to use the meth injection to bring the boosted fueling up to par. so that would be an option as well. just have 2 big meth nozzles come on @10psi and up. other benefit of that would be it helps compensate for the poor air distribution of the ls6 manifold which is known to feed the rear cylinders significantly more air then the others (thus leaning them out). when the air mixture is wet, those cylinders who get more air also get more fuel.

anyone know if the 79 uses the same tank as the newer fox's? anyone got a spare laying around?

dville, I have been following your build and you had the car flying but I think you did the same thing everybody else does with pump/meth. You got to greedy and expected to much. I haven't fooled with meth since the 80s when we started using it on the turbo Buick's but the number one thing that guy's would do that would push gaskets is to get to greedy with the timing. The good thing about the Buick is that the gaskets would let go before you hurt anything else.
One thing we used to say was ,let the boost make the power instead of the timing. Good luck getting it back together.

Thanks. I did get greedy, and it bit me in the ass. Very easy to bump the controller up and get a mph, bump the timing get a mph, etc. of I stay on pump meth I am going to bring the timing down a few degrees and like you said, use the boost to make up for it. Thanks for the input.
