Ya, nice thing is once you clear out the room the foot prints between it and a much larger turbo are nill, could bolt up a 91mm and let it eat.

            • Had a decent night at kdale, got this run with a fast ass Mitsu Starion, went a .76 that run, we lined them up again and I got the pleasure of hitting a puddle of coolant and put the car sideways past the 60'. First time the car has gotten out of shape and it was WAY out of shape. My buddy who was in the stands thought I hit the wall, but thank God I somehow got it straight. If anyone has a video of that let me know. Car went the .76 and 2 .8x's. Need to get the 60's down in the 1.2x's!

              • Went out to Kdale again this weekend. No new best, but the car is a now consistantly a .7x-.8x car. Haven't ran a 6 anything in 2 or 3 weeks. I am experiencing a drop in boost over the rpm band , peaks at 5300 (20psi) in first then falls throughout the powerband (only making 15psi at 6500), then peaks again at the shift into second and falls through second as well. Pulled it apart yesterday and found a MASSIVE leak at the BOV flange. Got that fixed and will try it again soon.

Oh, and had some bad luck, had the hood off the car sitting on the roof in the pits, giant gust of wind took it on a flight. Didn't break the hood but it slid on it's top, so I'll be painting it soon.

                • Damn its looking real good! Sucks about the hood though.

I havent kept up with the build in a while, your still running a pretty stock long block arent you?

No, rings butted up on #7 and took a piece off the top of the piston (car ran fine, but started making a little noise). Instead of just replacing that slug I dropped in some wiseco pistons and scat rods. Otherwise stock, stock heads, crank, ls6 mani, throttle body, etc. Just a cam and a manifold turbo kit. Can't wait to see what it does making a full 20psi all the way down the track.

purple line is manifold pressure, you can see it's no small drop off i'm experiencing. after i pressure tested my cold side yesterday i'm not surprised. probably explains why it was pretty slow to spool as well.

took it out for a little test last night and it spooled up quite a bit faster on the footbrake with the leak fixed

                      • short day at the dale (they closed shortly after 6pm), but got 3 runs (had very little cool down between run 2 and 3), went faster every pass with a worst pass of 5.75

got 2 new best and 2 new best mph's. last run was the best time/mph with the worst 60', i was one of the last cars to run and the track was gone (spun a bit at the hit), had that one hooked it would have been a great pass (although it was still a PB, so i'm happy)!
