        all good. i didnt take it in a negative way. my motor is also 8.5:1 so that might be another reason.

          cool, i just have feel obligated to throw out that disclosure otherwise i get accused of being the "expert".

          your car gives me hope that the stock 317's will hold up to my combo. i just gotta make up my mind on what fuel i am going to run. if i can get away with e85 on my current fuel system with the added meth i'll probably just create a pump gas tune and an e85 tune and if i have to put pump in it i'll just flash the other tune to it.

                i haven't read through this entire build, but what injectors are you on now?

                I have the bosh 160's. which i run at a base of 60 so iirc that makes them 196lbs. and right now on 116 the DC is around 78%. So i dont even know if i have enough injector to switch to E85 without turning the base pressure up.

                    yowza. that is insane. i'm seeing ~80% dc on pump gas (with meth) at 3 bar (which is 80lbs). So basically you are seeing the same DC as me with twice as big of injectors!

                      This was a black trans am at the forest lane cruise a couple weekends ago. I didn't look at te whole car but the engine was very nice

                        e-85 works good on my 650hp car. Maybe if i made the power your car is making, I'd use race fuel.

                          id like to use E85, just dont know if i have enough injector or pump for that matter. my comment was more in reference to 93oct. i thought i saw a pic a few pages back of a broken piston which looked like it was from detonation. i just dont get why people try and go fast on 93oct.

                              it is nice to be able to get gas at any gas station and drive to the track, make some passes, drive off the track onto the street and to the house, but it sucks when you lose part of your piston!

                                different strokes i suppose. i'd rather take the 5 mins to fill up with good gas, 5 min's to drain my tank and put 93 back in it, then lose a chunk of piston

                                and i guess you were running alot of timing? no trying to stir the pot anymore, i see it was stirred for 5 pages. lol
