    Freaking wicked!

Cool that they're finally tuning the ecoboost, but turbo diesels have seen power gains like that and better for years with a tune and pipe. I wonder how much more boost was needed.

    Factory tune = safe/conservative

Very true, but keep in mind diesels run off detonation. So they have a wider spectrum to their tuning. Detonation will kill a gas engine. So there are more limits to a gas engine.

So that means they are rated at the factory with 365 HP at the crank, and put about 279 HP to the ground.

That 90 HP is a pretty nice addition.

That kid on the site had his dyno'd and it made 315/380 stock.

It's just too quiet, but not bad numbers.

                  14 is stock boost.

I miss my EcoBoost. I fuckin hate my Chebby truck, even the huge V8 it has in it is a pig compared to my old EB.

That's pretty sweet. Yet another reason why I want a new f150.

there are a lot fewer limits when they are direct injected like the Ecoboost is. You don't compress a gasoline/air mixture. The fuel isn't injected until it's needed.

Meh it would lose to my 02 Harley F-150 with 12 lbs making 400 rwhp and 496 rwtq.

On a serious note, these things are going to be a beast! Wished Ford would offer the ecoboost in a sigle cab short bed, I'd buy one right now!

but it wouldn't be ugly like an 02 F150

its crazy that they gained 90rwhp from just a piggy back tune and a down pipe. They are still trying to break the encryption on the computer and then they said they are going to upgrade the turbos and piping!!! It should make 420rwhp 500rwtq w/ a "full" tune, down pipe, and intake
