Back in '87 I was moving irrigation pipe for my grandfather. He had 20 acres we did by ourselves. Depending on whether we were moving, picking up or laying down my pay was $2.00 a day. Had my first full time job when I was 14. Made $2.87 an hour.
We're still using those pistons today in several motors that are running the roads. The cylinders wear out before the piston, unless some bad tuning and high rpm (3500+rpm lol) burned one up. When you have the ability to punch these blocks out as far they'll go, you wind up with a ton of leftover pistons. Now you just throw some sleeves in it and start over.
