Judge wears daughter out with a belt for using the internet

I have no problem with parents who take a couple swats at their kids asses with a belt when they are gravely misbehaving, but this was way beyond excessive. I almost got physically ill watching that. Those parents need to go to jail, and then we'll see who can take what like a grown-up.

i was beginning to lose hope in parents these days. too many "lets talk about our feelings and discuss why you did what i told you not to do" instead of "get the belt your getting a whipping!!"

i can see it now, there will be some media fuss over this and some massive debate.....when i was a kid, i got the shit beat out of me for misbehaving and i learned my lesson. if i have kids i plan to use the belt on them as well


this reminds me of a Boondocks episode, when the grandpa is in a store and some little kid is misbehaving throwing a tantrum while the mother just looks like she has lost all control. grandpa takes off his belt and gives it to the mother and the kid just gets this look on his face like "oh no, she is gonna beat my ass"

He was disciplining her for stealing music, not just being on the inernet. It is excessive. This was in 2004 and she is mad about something and put it on youtube.

Cocksucker reminds me of "Doyle" from Sling Blade. I'm all for the belt, but that was completely over the top. No reason to cuss and threaten to hit your kid "in the fuckin' face..." That was more about him getting his anger out on the kid than it was to teach the kid any sort of lesson.

Way over the top! I was beat with the belt a little to much when I was a kid...by an abusive mother...who I no longer talk to. Needless to say I have a daughter and have NEVER hit her with a belt, in the past I have given her one good swift swat on the ass, but that was damn near 2 years ago now. She is very well behaved now! Someone should beat the piss out of both of those parents!

I was spanked as a child, and I plan on spanking my kids when/if I have any. I don't know what it is like to have do discipline a kid that way.

That being said, IMO this was a beating. He was hitting her out of anger, yelling and degrading his daughter the whole time. He even called it a beating.

I'm sure this doesn't bother parents who have spanked a crying child as much, but this seems a little over the line to me.

Probably excessive, but she didn't seem to have a problem getting out of the bed to turn off the camera, and the tears stopped right after they left the room. The verbal part was worse then the beating. There's no reason to ever talk to one of your kids that way. It appears it wasn't the first time they dealt with this and I think she sort of "baited" them, considering the camera was all set up. She's 23 now, and decides it a good time for some retalliation?

I have been thinking this the whole time. She might have been really putting on an acting job. Not obeying so she can get her parents to go over the top. She apparently does have some mental disorder, I just can't remember off the top of my head and haven't had time to look it up.
