Training the Afghan army. so sad

They were interviewing a special forces captain and during a raid he was shot twice in the leg. Two days later he was back and the Afghans shot one of their own in a similar situation.

The Afghans are strange. They normally do not fight at night and they will go back to their home towns and hang out with their Taliban friends. It's just odd how they try to kill each other during the day and then are friends at night. And all it takes is a little bribe for them to take the Americans right into an IED or ambush, it happens all the time.

You should see them running around the track. They run like a bunch of little faggots. Watching them attempt any sort of task is comical. The only halfway smart ones are the Hazara (sp?) from the north. They have more mongrol/chinese in them. The further south you get the dumber they are and the more drug dependent they are.

This country knows no good order and discipline. They are better suited left in the stone age.

I was going to say that it sounds like they are a bunch of kids, but it's more like a bunch of kids (mentally) with guns and dope! I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to try and help them when either they are too stupid or don't care enough to help themselves. It's kind of like the way welfare works here in the US for a fair amount of the recipients.

That hurts my head. As a soldier I can't understand the lack of even simple unit cohesion and discipline after 7 years. And inability to figure out a jumping jack?

How can you not? The ranks are filled with guys who are stealing for or moonlighting as the enemy. A little difficult to build unit cohesion off of that. Remember, these guys have no national pride. They are not Afghani in their minds. They are Pashtu, Hazari, etc.

these kinds of posts anger the fucking shit out of me. going all the way back to desert storm... we shouldnt have put 1 single american troop on the ground. we should have treated them ( iraq / iran / afghanastan ) exactly the same as we treated japan in WW2. enola gay all the way. fuck losing our troops over some worthless fucks that arent and never will be worth a fuck.

The media won't ever show these things though and what we're going through to try and train them. Put their training next to ours, show the results at the end.

Of course, America these days will just say they need extra help because they were not as well off as American military.

Maybe in another 25-30yrs and a few more trillion dollars they will be able to raise goats and smoke hash in peace. At least the war in Iran will be shorter, it won't cost us a dime, and the people of Syria/Iran will flood the streets with support for their liberation...
