Today, the folks at General Motors invited members of the media to attend a preview of their 2011 SEMA Show concept vehicles including the modified Camaros, Corvettes and Sonics that we brought you last week but after the GM execs were done talking about those concepts, the newest Camaro Concept roared to life in the form of the new Chevrolet Camaro COPO Concept.

I'd still pick a cobra jet

        320rwhp. 7.67 @ 90mph 1.7 60'

        DD: 2004 GMC Sierra VHO 6.0 LQ9 324whp 350wtrq

Not a GM fan myself. However, with Cobra Jets and Drag Pak Challengers, it was only a matter of time before GM joined in the fun! Competition breeds better products so it is a win, win!

The CJ Mustang and Drag Pak Challenger were both running 5.7s out at Kennedale. The Camaro looks pretty badass too.

Hood fitment is awful. Reminds me of the edges of my SLP hood. Wonder how much it weighs.

COPO 9560 and 9561 were the codes for the iron and aluminum head 427 Camaros in 1969, so the new part number does make sense.

                    Weight is a good question.

Most of the gen5 Camaro's weight is the heavy ass seats , curtain air bags and all of the fancy gauges and electronics.

This car looks to be stripped of console and seats.
Also the back of the car looks to be emptied out.

Weight is a good question .

Those part #'s do make sense now great catch lol

Reminds me of about 15 years ago when SVT built that 429 Boss and Chevy built that black big block 4th gen.

It's cheaper to build a SS car and cut it up.
Doing enough racing for 99% of the board!

Mustang had a casse headed 600in. 900hp 900trq on race gas.
