              Yes, I saw the smoke. I want to see it on approach, and then watch it touch down -- not just a video of it sliding across the runway.

                    what happens to a plane after that. do they repair it or do they just use it for parts. would be hard to trust it after that kind of abuse.

                      Depends; especially on how hard the pilot set it down.

                      That's about $165 million worth of aircraft. I'm sure it's like anything that's insured. They'll inspect the damage, look at the in-flight data, and go from there.

                      I wouldn't feel less safe in it if they repaired it and returned it to service. It'll still have to meet airworthiness requirements and more than likely include tighter inspection schedules. Broke shit gets fixed up and returned to service all the time.
