Anyone ever seen a wheel winch?

I think the adapter that you bolt to the wheels would snap the studs off under extreme loads but it's a neat idea.

In an emergency situation, I'm sure that it would work well. Anyone that wheels at all would be stupid to rely solely on this.

I've wrapped a tow strap around the straight rear axle on my ATV to get me out before. It worked pretty good once I got it tight enough so it wouldn't slip.


I wouldn't trust that on a vehicle though.

army hummvees have a place on the hub to slide the lug wrench thru to do the same thing.
