- all Plymouths
- all Dodges
- DeSoto Firesweeps
- all Plodges (the generic name for Canadian or export Mopars that used the Dodge frames, engines, and front sheetmetal on Plymouth/DeSoto/Chrysler cars)
For '57, these Mopars came standard with single headlights but had optional dual headlights:
- DeSoto Firedome, Fireflite
- Chrysler Windsor, Saratoga, New Yorker
For '57, these Mopars came standard with dual headlights:
- DeSoto Adventurer
- Chrysler 300
In '58, the few states that had outlawed dual headlights relaxed their laws. That's why nearly all 1958 American cars have quads, including the Mopars.
My car has the duals. I don't like the bug-eye look of the singles anyway, but different strokes for different folks.

ad on Craiggers...
This is a pretty rare car. Between us and the previous owner it has been in dry storage for the past 25 years. It has never seen salt on the roads or sat under a pine tree. It is true RUSTFREE car, No Rust in the floors , quarters, doors, roof , drip rails NO RUST. We really thought this car would be restored for our own collection, but it is not in the cards right now and between us and the last owner all we have done is use up garage space. The car needs a complete restoration but none I`ve seen at this price would be a better car to start with. It has the original 401 nail head 325HP V8 and automatic tranny. The previous owner had the engine running years ago when he put it into storage but has not ran in years. It does turn over and the engine and transmission oil looks good. The car has all original interior ( 2 tone blue ) Original gauges and speedometer that reads 69100 miles. Power steering and Power brakes. The outer paint is original light blue, thin in spots but No bondo or repair spots that have been done. the trunk has the original hounds tooth liner, jack, lug wrench, spare and hold downs. The glass is all nice tinted EZ-I original glass, no cracks and very nice chrome outer trim. The chrome grill, front bumper, headlight doors and trim are all nice with No pitting . The windshield is broke and will need replaced, 3 or 4 side stainless pieces are missing ( there a couple of 4 door ones in the trunk). The hood chrome bar is missing and we have only one original hubcap. But other than that I think the car must be about 98% complete. the Cowl tags reads : Style 59-4637, Trim 611, Body BC667 and paint JJ. If you are serious about restoring one of the rarest and most solid unrestored cars around this is it. It has a Clear Oregon title in my name. call me at 541-788-5756.Natural law.
