  • Wheelin' trip to Hidden Falls Adventure Park

We went to Hidden Falls Adventure Park near Austin, Tx this weekend, and met up with a fellow member from JKO with a sweet unlimited on 37 inch pitbulls. I decided I'd be drinking today and so my wife did all the driving. This was her first time wheeling offroad, and she did AWESOME. my spotting may have had something to do with that too. LOL

    Damage incurred:

ripped the rear smittybilt steel fenders off, scuffed the hard top, and tore a tail light off (luckily, i was able to bend the brackets back together to reinstall the tail light

I love to do stuff like that in my jeep but I just can not stomach tearing it up like that.

meh. its gonna get torn up at some point in time. We're definitely not going out there to bash it up, but if it gets some scratches or stuff gets ripped off, oh well. LOL

3,000 acres total, about 200 miles of trails.

this was our first time camping there, and it was GREAT! If you pay the 5 dollars extra, you get an "improved" site with water/electric and a building with bathrooms and showers. There's literally no way you can do all the trails even in a weekend. I've done alot of the popular trails, and there's still over half of the park that i've never even seen yet.

Another thing I've noticed is that the trails are constantly evolving, much more so then other parks i've been to. Sometimes I'll go and a trail will be much easier then it was before due to all the traffic and the trail eroding, rocks shifting, etc, and sometimes it'll be MUCH harder then it was before for the same reason. Keeps it interesting!
