My first Texas mile event and being a car guy I was going insaine trying to figure out what car to drool over first. I got anxious and looking at the pics it shows. Sorry they aint that great but gives everyone a taste.
I had no plans on going but some friends on Stangnet insisted I come down and party with them and help run Marks Vette.
2008 C6 with a new 402, YSI maxed out, twin meth injection and a 100 shot. Unfortunatly the car had one issue after another. Did 740rwhp on low boost with no nitrous and then when trying the race tune it lost an injector. Got that issue sorted and found a new and better tuner/shop and the car put down near 1000hp without the nitrous but was shredding belts. Turns out the blower mount was jacked and they needed the newer version.
Didnt get to run the Vette as last minute issues were poping up and it just wasnt safe. Guess it was a good thing as the track kinda sucks and the headwinds of 20+ mph were causing hell with the cars. The Vette may not have come out alive. Last minute decision was made to run Maddoxs car and glad we did. Thing threw us for a suprise of a 154MPH run on a stock auto 2012 GT. There were modded GTs and even a Boss motor swapped GT that were not running that quick or were within 3 mph.
Not running the Vette on Saturday allowed for mass drinking in Port Aransas and crashing a bridal shower with some uber hotties. Gotta thank a drunk Mark for that showing his new iPhone to them that I pranked him with..... long story but very funny. LOL
Now on to the fun stuff.
LMR had their 2200RWHP F-body there and were close to breaking the record and hit 240's but lost a head and it took them out of the running. Unfortunatly the memory card is goofy and it didnt save the pictures of it. Oh well, its black and has a chute.
The next person that was expected to break 250 was this Procharged Lumina Stockcar. They hit 240 and then decided to try again with a 250 shot of nitrous since they did the 240 without any. Car couldnt get traction at all and wasnt able to break the record. Sure did sound sweet trying.
There were several Vipers there in various states of mod. So heres a yeller one.
Ford GTs were out in force! This particular group brought three. Two 1100+ rwhp twin turbos and a Heritage GT.
