Point is, for just about every interesting, historically noteworthy type of classic Mustang out there, there's at least one that lives a pristine, preserved existence. For the rest of them, I say have fun with them. Now that I have a 5-speed, I'm never going back to a junky 60's transmission just because it's more "correct", that's for damn sure.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure whatever hack-job shop that was making all those shitty eleanor clones bought most of them, driving the price of a decent condition one through the fucking stratosphere.

All of them are. You have to enjoy them, because none of them are worth what we put into them.

Really? Come on man...we all know dumping money into a car is never a money maker. Id rather see someone dump that kind of money into a 68 coupe than a fox body

Jesus Christ guys, really? The point is you can pick up a decent car that doesn't need every square inch of sheetmetal replaced for a whopping 3k. Hell, he probably has that just in that car and all the replacement panels, with untold amounts of man hours hacking it all back together. Most of you are pretty smart, do I really need to bust out the Speak and Spell here?!

Looks at the back section of the car, it's still blue back there.

judging from the amount of custom fab work done on the front end/suspension, i think even a mint roller would have still been a shitload of work.

First and third pics show two different colors in the rear. Maybe you are looking at the blue bucket or whatever near the passenger rear quarter in pic two?
