    • When I ran the 12.5 I had a stock long block with a saleen blower, jdm saleen goodies running a 2.87 pulley, OBX long tubes with dual 2.5" exhaust, DJM lowering kit(factory springs/shocks), corvette electric fans, 4.11 gears and some Hoosier slicks.

On that 12.5 pass my factory transmission gave up the ghost at 90k miles. So now I have a built transmission with all the hardened/billet goodies, 2800 pi stall, a JDM dyno/street/race tune(where the 80hp comes in), fore precision works triple pump hat, 60# injectors, long bars, and some other misc goodies. I have all the parts for a built shortblock, and a spare set of heads to send to JDM to get worked over. When I decide to go built I should be around 700rwhp on pump.

On the highway, while cruising at 75 will still pull about 19-20mpg.

Cold air, cam, full exhaust, tune and some other bolt-ons should put you close to that.

Call TSP for a cam kit (like $6xx.xx for cam/springs/PRs) call circle d for a custom converter (prob want a big cooler and level10 shift kit). Sam for a tune, greenbullit for diff/gears, and pacesetter long tube and ORY pipe (cheap but they work great).

And there's your 13second truck with good conditions/driver.

did they stop offering the 6.2? I was at stonebriar chevrolet looking at trucks today, and the person there said it wasn't available in a ccsb anymore. I find that hard to believe.

                        • They are available, go to Jupiter Chevrolet and talk to Alex. Head chief there in the sales. Tell him Bryan at Muffler King sent you and you want the same deal as me.

                          • although i do like the 6.2 they seem to be a bit pricey.
the ly6s seem to make pretty good power minus the bigger bore, but there seems to be a few more ly6s out there that i have come across.
ls3/6.2s are bringing a pretty coin, which they do have the heads and intake already but i think most folks probably wont be able to tell the difference between LY6 6.0 vs 6.2 just driving down the road.
i am going to locate a fairly decent lq4/9 and add some l92/ls3 heads and intake to match (LY6)
Lq4 would be awesome for FI Lq9 would awesome for NA with a good shot of dope.
                            just my.50

                              • I started compiling parts and I'm copying this build. It's a guy I know from Pa and it makes around 550+whp on a shit dyno. intercooled remote t76/hptuners/pump gas.
