  • New Ride, switched sides.

2011 GT California Special just got to the dealership today, shitty cell pics. Won't pick it up until next Friday probably, they are adding a hood scoop, quarter louvers and a satin black over the top stripe kit. I'm starting to get excited

Oh shit! Sorry for giving you shit in that other thread about the stripes. I thought you were getting the stripes on top of the car. FYL=For Your Loss for future reference. That's a great looking car!

I wished they had a big duck tail spoiler. Then it would look like the old 60's CSGT.

I am having them put the over the top stripes on it. I like the way they look, old school yo. It will look good sitting next to my 69 camaro with Z28 stripes.

I'm with this guy, but it's your car. Less stripes is better, in my opinion.

I like the car though. I'm not a fan of reds at all, but it's a good looking car.

I was going to have them remove the side stripes when they install the top stripes but I decided to leave them on until I see how they look together, if I don't like it then they will remove the sides.

Speaking from first hand experience, having the stripes put on after the fact is a bad idea. Writing service, I've seen many examples of them bubbling, fading, and cracking. It's your car obviously, just telling what I've seen on multiple occasions.

                          More scoops/louvers/stripes = less better.

                            Exactly.
Leave it as is. Don't make it an ugly ass striped/lund scooped car.

Is the hood scoop functional at all? If not I would steer clear.

                              Nice ride!
