you are comparing a phone that is "glass" front and back to a phone that has a plastic back that extends pas the glass on front. So basically a built on case.

The money is in replacement parts for the phone, the iphone is the most expensive of the smart phones to make. There has been technology out for years to replace these lcd's/glass in these phones but won't be in there any time soon. Remember the old nokias,you couldn't break those fuckers if you tried.Comment

As far as the iTurd goes my buddy has been through three. I watched it drop from the table to the tile and the screen shattered. He once just tossed it on the work bench and its front and back shattered. He now has some kind of case on it that nearly doubled its weight and size. LOL
My Droid on the other hand has fallen off my work bench (near chest height) on to cement several times and only has a nick on the edge of the case. First day I had it the phone slipped out of my hand while talking on it and then slid screen down across the floor for 20' in the grocery store. Not even a scratch on the screen. Ive hammered on this phone and it does not give up.Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.Comment

I have been here! My wife swiped my iPhone off a bar table one night after drinks on accident, that piece of crap exploded!
Nokia Brick was the best phone I ever owned.
Recently, my Droid X has held up great. I even ran a castor wheel over it on face down when working under my junk... replaced the screen protector and no chips or cracked screen.Comment
