When I was a kid I was up late one night doing the dishes while everyone else in the house had gone to bed. I was almost done when I heard the screen door open slowly, then slam shut. Being that we lived 20 miles outside of Huntsville, I had been taught to treat these noises with respect and let my dad know about it (he was a prison gaurd at the time). Well, about the time I let my dad know, we started hearing a rythmic thump. My dad woke up my older brother and they both went outside, armed to the teeth, to investigate.
What they found was funny, yet puzzling.
A small amount of background info is needed first. My older brother had a 1978 Ford Pinto that he had put a small stereo system in. Well, since this was the early 90's, and my older brother was broke, things were ghetto rigged. So, in order to turn the system on, you had to wrap the power wire around the ignition coil wire. The remote turn on wire was hard wired to the power wire.
Well, what they found was my brother's system was playing a tape of DJ Magic Mike and the amp power wire was wrapped around the ignition coil. But, the car was locked!! So how did this happen???? It wasn't playing earlier and his tape player wouldn't automatically flip to play the other side of the tape.
