      Back on topic.......

Sorry for the small pic. My mom took this photo of the inside of a house that she lived in when she was a kid. If you look close you can see a snout and 2 eyes, but it's not a human face.

This is one picture of several of that house that showed this face, and at different angles. The scary thing is that she said this face is comforting to her. It is familiar but she doesn't know how or why.

We believe this is the face of a demon. No kidding. EVERY place she has ever lived in has been haunted. Just a couple of weeks ago she woke up with strange bite marks on her legs.
Annoying people, one post at a time!

This last year we went up to Mackinac Island in the Michangan U.P. My wife went when she was a kid but I had never been...it's a really cool place! No motorized vehicles are allowed on the island...everyone gets around on bicycles and horses and carriages. The Island has a lot of history dating back to the Civil war...the Army fort is still there and now a national monument....and there are also a few old cemetaries that date back to the civil war era.

Mackinac Island, MI is a unique vacation spot boasting fine dining, historic sites, and exciting attractions. Learn more from Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau!

...anyways, we spent 2-days on the island, first day we did most of the guided tours and went through all of the tourist attractions. Second day we rented bikes and ventured out on our own. Met some locals, visited some pubs, and took out into the unpopulated areas of the island. There are a couple of sites on the island that are said to have a lot of unusual activity....main land employees supposidly don't last long in one of the hotels, and they say it's not unusal that people have gotten up and left in the middle of the night...leaving their clothes, bags and everything behind.

Anyways....I took a bunch of pictures around town and some of the old graves in the cemetary on day-2....that night when I uploaded them back at the hotel we notced some oddities in several pictures. Here is one that is pretty freaky......

            The original picture I took.....

I had zoomed-in on the picture to try and see the wording on the smaller terra cotta colored headstone when I noticed this old dude...turning the picture upside down (while zoomed) made him appear more clear.....

The picture of course looks better in its original resolution..loaded up to photobucket doesn't look nearly as clear as it does here on my monitor.

It's interesting how he appears to be in a Civil war era uniform...and this graveyard is full of soldiers from that time.

Anyways....is it just the light and zoom causing a little trickery of the eye?...yeah probably so....but you can be the judge.

My parent's house is bona fide haunted. Its strange, because we're the ones who built it, so i have no idea why it's haunted. I've had all the cold spots, sound of people walking around when nobody's home, whispering, etc. etc. I remember one friend of mine in particular when he heard the whispering when it was just me and him in the house, and he realized that i had nothing at all to do with the whispering, freaked the FUCK out, almost took a tree out while he was burning out of my driveway. never really bothered me.

THEN, I moved to weatherford and moved into a house that a friend of a friend owned, and we were roommates for a year or so. She mentioned offhand one day if I ever met "Emily", to call either her or her mom immediately. This girl liked to smoke the wacky tobaccy so I didnt really think much about it. Well after almost a year, my roommate found a boyfriend, and rarely ever came home. I didnt mind it at all, it was nice having the house to myself more often then not. Then strange things started happening. My doberman would growl and watch something cross the room that wasnt there, and keys, sunglasses, etc that I'd put on the coffee table would straight up disappear, and then show back up on the table hours later after i tore the entire house apart looking for my stuff thinking i'd misplaced it. THEN, I met Emily. The roommate had come home for the first time in a couple weeks, washed some clothes, packed some more of her stuff, and said she was going out of town with her BF for a month. I helped her load the car, and off she went. I go inside, call my buddies and tell em its PARTY TIME for a month. lol. 45 minutes later, she calls and says she forgot her purse in her bedroom, and wants me to get it and meet her in arlington since I was heading that way anyway later in the day. I walk over to the bedroom, open the door, and the door violently slams shut on me as soon as it opened a few inches. The door slammed shut so hard the whole house seemed to shake. I brushed it off as a draft or something, as the house had been known to open and close doors when a nice draft came through. I grabbed the door handle again, which was ICE cold, and the knob would not budge, wiggle, or turn. I thought about it for a second, decided it must be a practical joke, and went outside to look in her windows to see who was fucking with me. Much to my surprise, there's nobody in her room. I go back in, door is still locked (but there was no lock on the doorknob) I mess with the door for a minute, then call the roommate. I tell her what happened, and she immediately tells me to call her mom. I call, and her mom comes over. She grins and asks how my introduction to Emily went. I'm confused, and have no idea whats going on. She walks over to the door, and starts quietly talking into the room through the door. A few minutes later, the door opens and she goes in and closes the door behind her. 15 minutes later she comes out, purse in hand. Come to find out, this Emily girl is a young girl who drowned in the bathtub in that house in the 30s, and has been my roommates "Friend" all throughout her childhood. Apparently, emily wasnt too happy that her friend had found a boyfriend and was never home anymore. Not long after that, I found a job in Temple and moved there and never looked back. LOL. That was some insane shit, and most people I tell that story too dont believe a word of it. Got no reason at all to lie, and really dont care anyway.

"Real-life ghost stories?" OK, allow us to clarify. Ghosts may, in fact, not be real. Having said that, the following stories comprise some of the most convincing evidence, possibly proving that the spirit world occasionally intermingles with our own. These famous or infamous ghostly encounters...
