I text back and worth with a self-described "liberal anarchist" chick I grew up with who legally grows medical marijuana for extra income.

She's about as left as anyone I've ever actually known in life. She thinks I'm a conservative nut, but I've still managed to find common ground with her and explain that I'm not as conservative as she thinks I am nor is she as liberal as she thinks.

Everyone seems to be against waste, abuse of the system (whether by the poor exploiting entitlement programs or the ultrawealthy exploiting tax loopholes), corruption on wall street, corruption in Washington, etc. no matter how left or right you see yourself.

Seems like the real divide in this country isn't so much because our individual views are so different, but because the people we listen to and get our news from (whether left or right) are such fucking assholes.

Each sides politicians and propagandists twist everything so much that each side believes the other is insane.

    Just my thoughts
There are some worthless assholes in this country who do feel they are entitled to everything. They come in all colors and sizes too. The idiots in question in this thread just happen to be the white hipster fucktards.

By far the vast majority of millionaires in this country are first generation small business owners.

Rich people have goals and aspirations.

                      .
even the ones that work hard had lots of luck by choosing the right direction for a business. Hard work in the wrong direction gets you nothing. That luck usually goes un-noticed by the individual and only swells ego and arrogance. I've known several, who were just too plain dumb to understand risk, and they became wealthy.......

Really sad how delusional and self-entitled some of those people in the pictures are at the beginning of this thread.

                            Who cares?
People can and do make their own wealth. Just because your (in general) family did not start a business 100 years ago that got huge and stayed that way does not make it "not fair". Our (in general) family should have been smart enough do what the 1% 100 years ago did and now we'd have an empire. All those 99% losers are looking for handouts. There are plenty of schools that don't cost $120K AND maybe they could work while going to school at the same time like a 1% would do rather than take every loan offered them to support their college lifestyle.
My g/f worked and had about $40K in loans and she has a PhD. I'm sure most of those idiots don't even have a bachelor's degree. PLUS I'm sure they are being "taught" how to be a victim by their liberal professors. More 1% need to call these fools out.

the 1% call them out every day when the 99% doesn't show up for work on time, lol.

I guess I should feel lucky that I'll actually make money by going to college. In fact, I'll never have to pay a dime of my own money to get through college. Of-coarse I spent the past 6 years in the military working 120+ hours a week making about $6/hr. But being a native Texan and veteran (MGIB and Hazlewood), I guess I have nothing to complain about.

                                I am my own 1%.
