  • Got the wife a new beater

Josh at grapevine ford hooked us up. He put up with for the last three months of us making up our minds, and in the end we got pretty much exactly what we wanted. 2012 premium 5.0 auto. So sweet.

I'll say it again, it looks sweet! I really wanted the 19 inch wheels, but I'll settle for the 18's for now, especially with the way the factory Pirelli's are wearing, it looks like they will not make 20k. I've already rotated them twice and im only at 5k miles.

Also, the oil changes are 8 qts. and the filters are FL500S, I found some at Vatozone but they were kinda of high, I usually get them at Walmart but they were not on the shelf yet. I don't know what oil they use at the factory but at 4k miles mine needed about a little less than a quart and it was dirty, not filthy but dirty nonetheless, ive read that they burn a little oil so did my 97 4v Cobra when stock. The manual calls for Motorcraft semi-synthetic or full synthetic. I used Motorcraft semi-syn, I scored two oil changes from Bankston so @ 10k and 20k I'll get free, but I dont trust 10k oil changes so Im changing the oil at 5k, once I hit 25k, I'll switch over to full syn and change intervals at 7500 miles.
