Their gift shop has completely overtaken the Petersen Automotive Museum, lol. When the government pays, the government controls.

I don't know what kind of time you have, but the Petersen is not too far away and that will put you near Hollywood to sight-see. Beverly Hills is right there as well and you can drive Mulholland Drive to see how the other half lives.
What kind of things do you want to do? Beach? Cars? Vintage aircraft? I have spots for all these...

Southern Cali is just one of those places you either love it or hate it. It's expensive to live there, but there is so much to do it's not possible to be bored there.
The weather 9 times out of 10 rocks.
Great car scene, but the regulations suck ass. But if you're into classic cars you don't have to deal with that nonsense.
Huntington Beach fuckin rules. Venice is for the yuppies and tourists.
PCH is a car guys dream.
Real mexican food, not this Tex Mex slop here in Texas.
Yes, the politics in Cali sucks.
Yes, it's fucking crowded and rent/mortgage is crazy high.
Smog sucks!
But alot of Cali is a nice place to live. Just stay out of the Valley's and L.A. lol.

Yup, California is awesome.
Just so dang expensive to live there.
It's on my list of places to live though, next year I might not be here.
I'm sick of this State, 100 today, aint it lovely, not to mention no "fun" outdoor recreation.
I'm talking about Mountains and Oceans, not hiking next to the trinity in the heat.
