Actually, yeah. If he was putting 500whp down thru that stock bottom end and made it 12,000 miles (and admittedly hard miles) he has exceeded the life expectancy for sure.

I only aksed because I'm pretty sure that mine (at 416hp) let go because of a shitty tune.

Sounds like you got as much outta the stock short block as you could. Forge it, and boost the hell outta it.

Throw a GM motor in a Ford body, now that's a car. But forreal, that sucks dude, can't wait to see what you have in store next.

Congrats on making it 12,000 miles. Sucks that it let go. Mind if I ask how much the new motor is gonna cost?
Why put off till tomorrow what you can put off till the next day?

Is the new 3V going to have an upgraded bottom end/rotating assy?
That's what I understand too. I knew I was pushing it's limits, but didn't expect it to blow up quite like that.

Yup it's Corey. Honestly me too. I hated to see it go though.

Yeah it making that kinda of power for about 7K miles and the first 5K it made around 430rwhp.

I've ordered a JDM forged stroked 302 short block that is good to 1000hp. I just have to figure out the head situation since mine have some bent valves.

I have $7800 in repair cost and upgrades so far, but that doesn't include fixing the heads I have now or buying new ones.

I planned on scraping it once everything is swapped over. Figure it's worth something with all the aluminum in it.

That what I lanned on doing too. Asked maybe I'd get lucky that you were not going to scrap it too.

Was it loud when it happened? I blew a motor in my old cobra and it just stalled, no bang, no boom, nothing kinda dissapointing, lol

LOL that does suck. It was really loud when it blew and left a trail of oil and broken parts.

Yeah it will get a healthy upgrade. Yup factory Saleen blower with a smaller blower pulley and a few other mods.
