Wait, you're saying the GTI has better performance? No. I was beating up on them at the last autocross. I did my 6 years in a VW. I loved it, but admittedly, the Genesis is better all around.

Well I remember driving the 4 pot coupe and wasn't nearly impressed as I was with the GTI, I'm pretty sure both are 15 flat (rougly) cars anyways, guess I felt the torque more in the GTI due to it's 1500-redline torque.

Not dissing your car btw, I love the coupe, but the 3.8

The latest Car and Drive top 10 had the GTI in it AGAIN and it was up against the 3.8 and the 5.0 Mustang, course it came in last, sure. I would imagine on a road course it would whoop a 2.0 gen coupe. I'm still surprised at the Auto due to the decent amount of torque down low on the GTI, should be easy for it get to speed around the cones. Could have been the driver(s)

Like I said, each their own, I drove both cars, even the 3.8 stick (liked it btw)

But the GTI was the funnest.
