I don't doubt the Nova is fast in a straight line. But saying it's going to make a Z06 cry is a bold statement. High 10's in factory trim, 30mpg on the highway and amazing handling. I doubt the Nova would fare very well touching the accelerator pedal while turning the wheel abit.

High 11's in factory trim would be more like it, I know for a fact the nova will run 10's. But it only gets about 8 mpg so you got me there. The nova is more at home on the street than it is at the track. So, find yourself a stock z06 and bring your money.

It might make a Z06 cry from laughter perhaps. Sweet car none the less though.
Z06 guy probably sold the vette and went out and bought a nova.
Steve im far from a guy that would just come on here and say,
MY BUDDIES CAR IS FASTER THAN A ZO6,with out knowing for sure.
unless i knew the facts of coarse....
no the nova was not doing any road coarses,120-0,0-120,etc etc etc test.
it was from a roll which thats what everyone does these ,am i right and as a matter of fact,it was from a 30mph roll up to a 120 and the nova jump out on the vette by 1 car then the nova ran out of gear,if nova had the gear he could have really waxed the vette.
Nova went low 12s in street trim with a 355 motor n/a.
so now with a d1 in street trim,ha if it could ever hook its a easy low 10s car.
Where might one come across this car if one were out driving around ?
Vortex rear stand $75 8.8 410s. $50

but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy shit!!!.. what a ride!"

Trust me the owner has scarred the piss out of me more than once on a road coarse.
It's bone stock. Go on over the Vette forum sometime and search "Ranger". The guy is a driving guru. He has a whole deal on how to properly learning how to drive and race. He gets asked to test cars all the time. Your typical Z06 driver can't driver like Ranger, but that shows you the potential of a Z06 when any slouch can get into one and row them to mid 11's to a high 10.
Now, don't get me, I wasn't downing the Nova. It's a sick car for sure. I was just responding to the "making a Z06 cry" comment. The Nova is a one trick pony meant for hurting feelings on the street. The Z06 is an all around performer. If you come across a cam'd Z06 on the street in that Nova, you better be ready for a serious race on your hands.
Unless the race is in a straight line (like most of the roll racing bullshit posted on the internet lately) and then it won't be all that serious.
I know you had a fast strip car years back, but have you ever ridden in a fast 800-1200rw street car before? LOL, it's pretty fuckin serious stuff at 200mph+. And there is ALOT of people who would disagree with you on that too. Tx2k is a perfect example of that. Racing is racing, one isn't better than the other, it's all fun.
Is that the same silver one he had back in the day? I almost traded my Chevy II for it, then kicked my self in the ass for not trading, now kick my self for getting rid of the II.....

Did I say it wasn't fun? I just said videos of people racing from a roll are fucking played out and lame.
