Correct me if im wrong but the Los Angeles Class attack submarines are city names (Dallas, Houston, Santa Fe, etc) they have the diving planes on the sail. I think the later submarines built for the Los Angeles Class have vertical tomahawk missile launchers, and I know tomahawks can be used as a nuke. I do know that all Los Angeles class attack submarines can fire tomahawk missiles out of the torpedo tubes.
The Virginia Class is named after states as well, and I guess they can still be used as a nuke boat cause they also can carry tomahawk missiles.
The Seawolf Class only has a few boats I think, I guess they cut that program I guess. I dont know what they are armed with. If I had to guess its probably both torpedo's and tomahawks.Los Angeles Rams 11-5

there were a total of 62 LA class subs built, the first 39 had dive planes on the sail, the last 23 had them on the bow and i think they could retract them into the boat...dont quote me on that though
