I can relate as well. Similar shades of blues/greens look similar. I fuck up greens all the time.

Yes. Whenever I tell someone I'm colorblind they do the obligatory point-to-objects-and-ask-the-color game. They'll point to a bunch of red and green shit and then something a completely different color just to try to "trick" me. Fuck you asshole!Originally posted by mustang1200 View PostComment

You guys missed your calling. My dad is colorblind, and can see animals like they are painted orange. Apparently camo does not work for him. Also great for arrowheads as they seem to show up to him, where they look like rocks to the rest of us.sigpic18 F150 Supercrew - daily

The one side effect I have noticed is that when certain shades of red and blue border each other the border "dances" to my eyes.. Kind of like some strange acid effect.
As a kid, before I knew I had the issue, I had a book that had those bordering colors. As I moved the book around the border moved. It irritated the piss out of me that my friends couldn't "see it" and I couldn't figure out why.. They always thought I was just messing with them.Comment

I remember getting in major trouble during 3rd grade art class because the teacher thought I was intentionally causing problems. (Primary and secondary color wheel)
Sent me to the principal, they called my mom in for a meeting about my "behavior" - when she got there and found out what the story was she dressed down the principal and teacher like a drill sergeant. Was fuckin beautiful.
