He was probably just trying to put more of his car between the Explorer and his self. If he had swerved right the whole footwell could have caved in on his feet and legs.

He had a passenger, didn't he?

I wonder if the guy had been to the bank that day?

I went into that video trying to imagine being a cop and see if I could have avoided it. There was no damn way. That is ridiculous.

Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

In the event of a crash, the driver always protects his side first.

                      Fuck that drunk. Fuck.
The cop appeared to see that the drunk was coming from the cops right side -he's so far into oncoming traffic that he's over the dividing line and damn near made it to THAT curb. Cop may have thought that was his only way out?

I did the same thing - I suppose it is 50/50 I'd go right on reaction alone - hell, ya don't know unless you're doing it. I think most of us would've reacted in some manner, just which way you would've gone and if it would've made a difference...

I dunno about the cops ability to avoid the accident, but the guy in the White Taco deserves a medal for his ninja driving skillz

The passenger was a K-9 and they ride in the back.

The other car was moving way too fast. If he would have been able to avoid it, it would have been blind luck, not skill.
