insulation and makes movements in the stand quieter

that's kind of why I'm thinking about doing the foam insulation route....

it would be light and insulated obviously and with the right materials it would be super strong, water proof and rodent proof.

I haven't really priced out what I need yet, but I'm going to try and use scrap tin for the outside and extra insulation I've already got. That just leaves me with wood for the frame and windows to buy. Also depends how well screwing these pallets together works for a base, they are heavy duty so I think they will be fine. Should only be out a couple hundred or less.

here is what sparked the thought of by buddy doing the foam stand... I found this on on Craigslist a couple nights ago. I talked to my buddy and I wouldn't want this one because he used foam that isn't going to last too long but still a cool idea

Most of mine are insulated as well...

This is a fiberglass cylinder blind that we have had for years. Last summer I brought it home and sprayed foam in it and used bed liner on the outside. Also built a base since the old floor that was in it had rotted out.

Dad called today saying he things he has stuff to build one at the lake so we are supposed to build it labor day weekend and then set it up the following weekend...

I'm still thinking about doing the foam one too but we will see if it happens

when I say foam I mean completely made of foam... not insulating a wooden stand... incase that wasn't clear

Yeah using foam for the stand itself is a pretty cool idea, well insulated, easy and cheap to make, and it's light as hell and you can move it around. All you'd need to do is make a basic mold and then cut out your windows/etc.. not a bad idea.

Makes rolling around in the chair quieter. Actually I have kicked my boots off quite a few times. Hell I have slept in the son of a bitch more then few times.
