I've been looking at 6.4's lately, actually. You can find Job 1 trucks cheap! I've found one with a really clean Oasis and clean Autocheck super cheap. I'm way tempted as I have friends with 6.4's and they love them.

But there would always be that little concern in the back of my mind.

whereas the LSx family has been around for almost 15yrs!!! I would have ZERO concerns taking a brand new GM vehicle with an LS engine in it and modding it from the get go.

If I would have been in my 30's back when the old 302/351 were still current, I would have felt the same way about them.

They're good engines, they're cheap as hell to build or replace, etc.

Like I said, I'll probably end up with a diesel again, but I've been eyeing these GM gassers lately.

FWIW, I am going to be buying a $2-3k beater car also

3/5 does look good for sure,better than 2/4(doesnt look any lower) and you can still tow without too much drama.

That car follows me everywhere, I sold to a friend back in November. He sold it to Sam a few weeks ago. The car has never left the building I work in. It never will

I imagine it'll be out here when the weather cools down. It's just too hot to go to the races right now.

I almost bought another one, I miss it at times when it was a heads/cam car. After you make so much power it becomes a hassle and loses it's fun.
