  • My new racecar(truck)!

    Looking for any takers?

6.2 with a 6 speed auto, tuned by Sam. Yes, it's slow. I never knew a CC truck could slide sideways with no water on the ground

No doubt in my mind that the 6.2 will run.
Thankfully GM didnt put the vvt and dod on the 6.2.
Sure wish I could get my 5.3 to scoot like the 6.2. I got beat by a hemi and my truck just ain't the same anymore, but that's another day.
I need Sam to work his magic on my Z.
Then you can do my exhaust.

It does have the VvT, for now. It runs great, they run low 14's out of the gate with minimal mods. I'm gonna lower it an put longtubes on next week. Should make right at 400 to the wheels.

They do as well, the VVT and DOD are two completely different options. My motor is flex fuel as well. I might put the Ls9 cam in mine to get rid of it, they make about 20 more rwhp more then the LS3 cam. We're gonna dyno it tomorrow and track what's what mod for mod.

When I speak of Ls3, I mean corvette and Camaro Ls3.

Do me a favor, let me know what times it runs at the track. My brother has one. Very nice truck, but it will not pass up a gas station. I tried to get him to race me, but he wouldn't. I am curious what times those will put down compared to my jap truck. Damn nice truck though. I wish Chevy would throw a center console shift in those.

Run it to the track before the longtubes.

Before Sam tuned it, it wasn't what I'd call good. At the same time it only has 1500 miles as of now. The first tank I wanna say it didn't even go 300 miles I went to Broken Bow last weekend and it averaged 17 ish on the hwy.

With the tune, It doesnt have any of that torque management crap. It's alot easier to drive. If you've ever driven a diesel with a programer in it you'd know what I meant. The gas pedal is real light, doesn't take nowhere near the throttle to get it going.

17 MPG isn't that bad. My brother has a hard time getting 15-16 mpg. He has the Bully Dog set up on his truck. He said the same thing about the sensitivity of the gas pedal. It made it a lot more responsive with less pedal.
