What's to stop a group like that from walking up to the clerk and threatening to trash his store or beat him or kill him if he didn't hand over all the money? When you think about it, its a very real possibility. No gun, no masks, no fear. I could see 1 or 2 starting it and everyone else jumping in. Remember, it only took one person to come up with the idea of that flash mob. The perp could just as well be miles away and watching this laughing thinking how he "controlled" these people. Kinda reminds me of Fight Club.
