This is actually pretty interesting, as i just looked someone up who has long claimed to be a lawyer and didnt find them in the Texas Bar Assoc. website as being registered to practice in texas. Not fully conclusive, as you can graduate law school and go into legal services without practicing law, but still, i found it "interesting".

From what I know, misrepresenting yourself as a licensed CPA is a serious ethical issue, and can prevent you from ever becoming certified. It can also cause your mortgage to be reversed. I know someone who does mortgage investigations to check to make sure CPAs, Engineers, Architects and doctors and stuff were properly certified on their paperwork.

There are a fair number of people on this board that have money, probably enough for a used Lambo and some nice digs but no one else catches hell like he does because from prior posts over on Canada, he presents these toys and things as if he has earned them through hard work and is self-made anytime the subject of having second generation wealth came up. I have to agree. If someone were in here claiming to be a CFA Charterholder I would have just kept the posts to that. Honestly, I could care less how he funds his lifestyle... the claim of a certification when you don't have it is the issue. The other rambling is nonsensical.

It's not the lie he told, but the fact that he lied. Who really cares how he got the nice stuff? It's just pretty pathetic if he lied about being something he isn't. If anything, this thread speaks to his insecurity, not everyone else's.

I never did get a straight answer out of all that, even when her and her parents were talking about it in front of me. All 3 of them seemed to be confused over who actually "owned" it. [shrug]
