lol its very simple to tell a 351 based motor apart from a 302. their is a noticeable distance from the distributor to the thermostat housing. the 351 obviously has the greater distance between there.

The only way to get a 351 under a stock hood is too have a tubular K member, not sure sure if it has been posted yet, but im with the others ive seen that combo on local dynos and max power at the wheels is always around 500hp to 600hp with that blower.

I've heard of people shimming a stock K member away from the body where it mounts (w/ large washers).

I've fit a carbed 351w without any k member mods. Lower profile intake, drop mounts.

Team-z drop mounts and any 351 will fit under a stock hood depending on inrake and as long as it doesn't have a phenolic spacer on the intake or as said above, shiming the k-member.

How can any motor make enough to pull off 800hp with the GT40?

BTW, that looks a hell of a lot like Spritle's old car.

Edit..... This does appear to be a 351 based motor based on.......
The 351W has a taller deck height than the 302. (a 302 will have the intake almost flush with the base of the distributor... where it goes into the block..... a 351W will have about 1/2 inch lip there where the intake meets the block.)

But I still think your friend is full of BS

I'm looking at the AC bracket which looks like a stock one. The 9.5 deck requires a special AC bracket from Ford Racing which is no longer available.
