          We had a glass pool installed at the house I grew up in. I liked it better because it didn't tear up your feet like concrete does. Also dodn't have crack and leak issues like concrete. Only downside I remember was you could not drain it or it would pop out of the ground. I remember the crane lifting it over the house.

            That was kinda my point....They may have been led to believe they would save a buck going with that kind of pool, but not hardly in the long run.

              Those are actually more prone to cracking issues than a gunite pool...at least here in Texas.

              One of my old neighbors had one that sprung a leak due to a crack during the rainy season and it ended up popping out of the ground and destroying their deck and part of their yard. It was a mess.

              ...but yes, same as liner pools...much better for your feet.
