Don't think they can squeeze as much out of them without catastrophic failures. I don't really know specifics, but I do know that the motor in the current Murci traces it's roots back to the original Countach.

From what I know it's the same basic architecture that's just gained in displacement and electronic gizmos over it's evolution.

The upcoming Aventador will have the first new clean-sheet entirely redesigned motor for the flagship model. Hope that block can be safely stuffed with a lot of boost.
