I did not dignify it, I showed the ignorance in it.

I believe some cities give the cops a budget and then they own the bike. More info from someone who knows?
Never heard that before, city buys the bikes and asks that the motojocks write enough tickets a day to justify them having bikes. never heard of a cop "owning" his service bike.

I've heard of something similar, but not sure that it is very common. I ran into a Harley dealer add and talked to the fleet manager who said that they work with cities to get trade ins, so i would guess most are city owned. Maybe a smaller town?

I believe Arlington does this. I've seen them on different bikes and I had heard that. Dunnooo....

I believe in FTW the officers buy the bike and the city pays them a stipend or allowance. That is why you see so many different bikes. Even if they were all Harleys, there are several different models.

I figured it was just the fleet changes from throughout the last few years. I know Irving has a fleet of HD's but were trying to get some kawi's a year or two ago, though I think it was to no avail.

where is the first part of the video where it shows the pigs chasing the car at high speeds and doing the pit move on it which caused it to crash into the wall and burst into flames?

Just had to bring this back to the top. I'm here at the tattoo shop my buddy owns in McKinney and start talking to the guy that's getting tattooed after me.

Turns out it was the guy in this video ! His name is Donnie Williams and he is a super cool guy. We were laughing about all the comments that were posted on the video and on here. He seems like a really modest and down to earth guy.

Just thought I'd get on here and post a non-FTP comment. Haha !

a very close friend of mine is a motor jock for a city in the metroplex. he has been riding cruisers for over 10 years but has only been a motor jock for maybe a year or two most

i don't think it takes much to be a motorcop except for having a mc endorsement(of course). another buddy of mine will be attending the school for it and he has only been riding for maybe a couple years and has put only about 8k on his personal bike in that time. from what my buddy says is it's all about the school, it's a minimum of 80hours and from what he said 95% of it is out on the bike

oh about owning the bike, at my buddies department the city owns it but after they take it out of service he has first 'dibs' on buying it if he wants

mean? what are you 5 years old?

his main job is to write tickets, break a ticketable law and get a ticket

                            pretty simple to me

that stuff is no joke. I bet 99% of the riders on here couldnt do that course on a Kawi 125cc eliminator much less a fully dressed harley. I've never had any problems with a motorcycle cop much less a regular cop. Pretty interesting how when you dont break any laws, go the speed limit, and keep your tags current how they dont pull you over. CRAZY isnt it!!!
