Back when I lived in the ghetto off of 820 and Meadowbrook the security officer at the wal-mart there was a cop in uniform packing nothing but a 9mm. If you were hoping for a taser, you were shit out of luck. I talked to him a couple of times about the crackheads that walked through there. Usually it was a black dude, cool as fuck, and sounded like he wasn't willing to take shit from anybody.

I worked part time at the Walmart on Eastchase from 2003-2008. People stole like crazy from both stores. Who was the officer at the Meadowbrook store?

If he looked like he was on 'roids, I know who you are talking about. Walmart here has security that drives the parking lot, but uniformed officers inside for preventing incidents. It's more like preventative measures.
