I still think they need to render immediate aid. Once their lives have been protected, and they guy is no longer a threat, plug his holes, and stop the bleeding.

Because to render aid they need as least gloves. No telling what diseases that piece of shit has. In my job I'm not touching any anybody besides my team without gloves on, not worth it. And even if they can do immediate treatments, all they can do is apply direct pressure until a squad car shows up or the EMT.

And the mentality that all police are just out there to exert authority and violate the public trust is what pisses me off. I have known some asshole cops, but the percentage is small and they don't last long. The vast majority of LEOs are good people that try to make a difference in the communities that they work in.

As someone said last week, if you guys did a better job of policing yourselves, there wouldn't be such an overwhelming mistrust of police in general.

So when a cop runs down a young youth from the projects and then asks "why did you run" it is because of mistrust that prompted the "because you are police" response.
