Seems like after the Job 1 trucks ford fixed all the minor problems. And once you get rid of the DPF then it's a very reliable engine. As long as you don't hammer the dog shit out of it. I got 50k miles on my truck and 45k of those miles have been tuned. Not a single problem out of it. But hey it's the worst design engine.
    2010 F-350 6.4L SRW CC 4X4

Spartan tunes, 5 inch flo-pro, 4 inch down pipe, cold side piping, AFE stage 2 CAI, EGR delete, Air Dog II

    2012 Mustang 5.0 GT Stock........for now.

Like everything about mine but the fuel economy.

To the above poster saying they are all so high, I've seen many clean xlt 09's crew 4x4 with decent miles in the high 20's. I'd even buy a 08 and put the 7/200k warranty on it. I'm on pace for 13k miles this year, and after I sell my other truck I'm going to buy a gas powered DD. I get a different truck every 4 years and this one will be hard to replace.

Why not just keep it then?

I want to buy a new truck because dragging my race car around the state and getting single digit mileage figures SUCKS. I use a 96 powerstroke. All the stuff I drag, trailer included, maybe 4-5k lbs?

Those are a little worse. I'd have a spare in the tool box for roadside replacement. They are a whole lot easier to replace though.
