What's wrong with Fight Club? I think that movie came out at a time when most of us were 20-25 and searching for some sort of identity.

I've seen Donnie Darko several times, even bought the damn movie so I could watch it after I rented it, in hopes I could understand it. I still have no fucking clue what the movie is about. Maybe you could school me.

Please clarify the intent or "question" here before I waste time with a long winded response.

The movie itself is a paradox. It's about quite a few things. They packed so much into it it was a miracle it worked. If you're watching the Directors Cut it probably makes more sense, however I think that version doesn't give the audience enough credit for their intelligence. It's garbage, IMO. I don't really want to get more into it than that. That is a movie to be talked about in person, because you can never make it make sense on here.

Agreed. I have the "special edition" director's cut and the theatrical version, and the director's cut is garbage. I like your top two choices, and understand why they are your top two, although I gather many won't understand why they are your top two. We have similar taste in media.

I watched it once and took it to half price books. Thankfully I've forgotten most of it so I can still enjoy the original.

What was the movie where Denis Leary is a house thief. He brakes into Kevin Spacys house around Christmas?

The dynamics of the dysfunctional family outweighs the attempted robbery and funny as shit!

I cant remember the name of that movie!!

Is that line in The Ref? I haven't watched it, but if so, that's directly stolen from this:
