    Going out on a limb here but..

    It's illegal to record law enforcement (audio or visual) without their consent.

        Why would filming them be illegal?

        Just tell them like they tell the public "If you're not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about."

          Wow. The sidewalk is public property not to mention she was on her property. Should be interesting to see how this turns out.

            I have no idea what they were thinking. The basic concept is if you can see it and it's legal for you to be where you are, you can film it. The only exception would be government property where it is posted for security reasons (military base, etc), or if you create a disturbance while filming, prohibit or deny access by being in the way etc.

                      OOOooo He feared for his safety because she was behind him? I could understand if she walked up on them, then you tell her to get back. But her being in her own lawn or on the sidewalk come on. I am interested to see what comes of this.
