motors can be had for around $6000 well bought. ECU/harness and pedal is $1400...
add in kooks headers and power steering/alternator setup and a tune and you are sitting on 420rwhp using your same clutch and trans.
I am "thinking" about this right now and selling my built big bore 2V intake to oil pan. A nitrous drag racer would love my motor!

When you can pick up a used one for $3k and someone other than kooks makes headers it might be alright.
Swap can't be done for less than $10k. I don't understand the point. I have a bud with a 418 dart/eagle with 205's, spider intake, 90mm tbody, and he had less than that in the whole shebang intake to oil pan, and it ran mid 10's on motor with A/C. It would also holds up to a 275 shot of nitrous.
I understand to cool factor, and don't get me wrong, the modern 5.0 is nice. I hate those bastard LS swaps, but for the money they make a hell of a lot more since than this swap.
