Still remember back in the 90's when Kenji Okazaki was driving the Mooneyes car for Jim Dunn & that happened. Body came up, Kenji has the wheel in his hand as he gets out of the car.. Steve Evans walks up with the mike, Kenji pulles helmet off & his eyes were HUGE! All Kenji could say was... "wheel come off..."

LMAO... I know EXACTLY how this guy feels... The Turbo Rail had a removable steering wheel and I didn't latch it once at Sanger.
I launched on street tires and the steering wheel came off. Luckily I was able to reach the steering shaft and steer... still ran an 8.1 or something like that haha...
Pucker factor was WAY up... (and yea I know I should have let out.. but I felt like I had it under control... stupid I know)

Just keep a pair of vice grips under the seat, and you're good to go.
