If you were to pay attention, you'd see that the fender is off.

Cars were painted with the fenders on.

the engine bays werent always sprayed with the same amount of paint or clear coat. My 93 cobra would be an example of this.

Or your talking about the paint line i guess. And thats because they were painted with the fenders on the car....
