      Congrats man, post more pics.
Some of these are from about a year ago. Some are more current. The aluminum slots are going to be used on the Diamond T truck project. The coupe will have 15x4" and 15x10" Salt Flat wheels with grey centers and polished lip.

The engine was built about 10 years ago, and a roller cam wasn't in the budget at the time. He could put whatever he wants in it now, but doesn't want to pull it back apart just to change the cam.

Thats a nice build, it's a good feeling when it all starts coming together. I love the old 5 window coupes, my uncle builds cars like this for a living so I get to see all kinds of old school cars. I admire the work anyone can do like your Pops car.

That cam is a good cam, it sounds great. I've had it in a few of my sbc motors, they make decent power with the vortec heads.

Thanks man, I'll let him know you guys like it.

I think the cam will do just fine. It should weigh around 2500lbs, so 10:1 400 ci with AFR's and 3 carbs should be fun to drive with a 4 speed.

A little update. Dad has been working feverishly on the coupe. He wants to drive this thing, BAD ! LOL !

He had to take all of the carbs back off and go through them all.

Here's some more pictures. I'll post a new video in just a few minutes. He ended up taking the mufflers out of the exhaust system, and will just end up putting some baffles in between the collector and exhaust pipe where it goes under the car. It sounds awesome in person !

He finally got his wheels and tires mounted and put on the car. I can't wait to see this thing on the ground !!

              Engine turned kick panels.

Black walnut skull shifter knob made by a buddy of mine. This is what really got me wanting to do some wood carving/engraving/etc.

The back window and quarter windows are in, as well as the windshield !!

Here's what the engine looks like for now. He's going to change the valve covers, and might end up changing the intake and carb spacers.

Here's another 3x2 setup he's got. The carb spacers are made out of the same black walnut as the shifter knob.

This is a bomb sight that has some significance to it.....I just can't remember what it is exactly. LOL ! It looks cool as shit though ! More black walnut wood used to mount it.

ok, not really... I'm just a spoiled kid who grew up on SBF roller motors... granted, the ~15 vehicles I've owned and put hundreds of thousands of miles on over the past decade were all flat tappet, but they were that way when I got 'em

I probably would have done an street grind solid roller if it was in the budget
