9-10 k for a car that would be faster, better mpg, and put 2-3k back into his pocket, liability insurance, and no monthly payments.

It's not hard to see here, and a little car shopping on his part could have went a long way.
haha damn dude seriously why would you shit on someone over a choice of car they made? Who cares?

He is still pretty upset about the "girl troubles" thread. Probably wish he had trouble or heck maybe even a woman.

Don't you have a cobalt? Hardly think you're in a position to be criticizing others vehicle choices.

              First week of May.

Mods: Just the basic stuff for now. Nothing major.

              - Diablosport tune with all the up shift and % vs. RPM torque management disabled, COT over heat temp increased, aggressive transmission tune, lean cruise control enabled, etc...

              - SLP exhaust with true X crossover, etc..

              - NGK -55 copper plugs gapped at .050 (stock Platinum junk plugs are gapped at .060 and have a rough idle as a result)

              - SLP 160 thermostat

              - K&N CAI w/heat shield

              - On the way...new bump stick, FAST intake manifold, larger TB, and IRS brace.

Anywhere between 11K - 20K depending on mileage and sellers location.

Nice. How you like it vs the mustang? You still have the mustang?

It's definitely a different animal. This LS1 has a nice almost table flat torque curve. Something my 4.6 2v definitely lacked and why I ended up with 4.56 gears and a 3,800 stall just so it would get out of it's own way. The GTO has 3.46 gears and plenty of usable torque, so it definitely likes to cruise on the highway. I'm fairly impressed with how quick it is for such a heavy car. And I really like the IRS. Really is effortless and a joy to drive hard around corners. It stops on a dime with the vented discs in the front. Interior is a lot fancier compared to a SN95. Very aggressive side bolstering in the seats, nice Blaupunkt CD player, and cold a/c. Works for me.

The Mustang got taken out by a 20 y/o girl in a Chevy Cobalt not yielding the right of way rushing out a Tom Thumb parking lot. She was too busy chatting with her friends and wasn't paying attention. Actually, admitted that while bawling her eyes out to the cops. Somewhat of an amusing read on the police report. My insurance co. totaled her out. Now I have the Goat for a daily. It was time for a change after 15 years of Mustangs.

Yea i love my LS1 T/A. It made 291/321 with just a gutted airbox, lid, flowmaster and k&n. Not bad for an auto car with 167k on it. It needs a tuneup too i think. Ive put 35k on it and havent changed the plugs, and dont know how long they were in there when i got it. For a 99% stock car with just free mods it does well. Although i drove a 2000 SS with a Yank SS3600, ls6 intake, longtubes, 3.73 gears and a sam88gta tune last week. For a mostly stock car it was a completely different animal. Converter REALLY wakes these things up. Im thinking about ordering a SS3600 or maybe a SS4000 since i dont plan to spray it. Drove that thing around the parking lot and around town a bit and it really doesnt drive any different than my car. WOT was a whole different story. Made my car feel like a fucking turd.
