Yeah I've got some pics of the 56 on his website. I've got some video of it as well that I need to upload. He still has it at the shop right now actually. Definitely a beast, and fun to ride in.
Cool deal. Maybe I'll see you there at some point.

Why restore it? Looks prime to have the balls driven off of it as it is!

Alright, so maybe you wouldn't drive the balls off it. But what a colossal waste of everything it is for these cars to sit. And sit. And sit. Until someone breathes on it incorrectly and it needs a repaint.

This one has been driven, hence the damage to the rear and side panels that can be seen in a few of the pictures. But, I'm sure once it's restored it will just sit.

I'm sure you will. I'm there almost every Wednesday for a while. My name is Russell, so if you see me there just say hi.

it is not a colossal waste of everything... a waste of everything would be to destroy it and not let future generations appreciate/enjoy it

Fuck THAT. Beat the hell out of it. If you can afford a $550k car, you can afford to fix it when it breaks. It's still a car built from simple, common, easily-sourced parts. And since it's already been restored once, it doesn't lose value if it gets restored again. Life is short. Beat on the Cobra. There are plenty left in museums.
